Another ELD deadline: September 8 for July’s revoked devices

FMCSA’s July 9 notice removed ten ELDs from the registered list and set a replacement deadline before September 8, 2026. This deadline is separate from the October deadline attached to the agency’s August removals.

Match your device to the notice

The July list includes devices from Ontime Logs, Last Minute ELD, Porter ELD and other providers. The official notice provides each model and identifier, which matters when one supplier sells several products.

Do not combine two different deadlines

A carrier affected by July’s action should not assume the later August notice extends its replacement window. FMCSA directs affected users to discontinue the revoked devices and use paper logs or logging software while arranging a compliant replacement.

Beginning September 8, the notice says continued use of the listed revoked devices is treated as operating without an ELD and can lead to an out-of-service order. Check the latest official lists for reinstatement or other changes before acting.
