How Hotshot College uses it
Hotshot College may store and display public FMCSA data with source attribution, the source retrieval time, and the field-level status available from the source. Hotshot College does not present the data as its own government record or imply that FMCSA endorses the service.
Important limits
The open-data license field for the Company Census File is currently listed as unknown. Public access does not grant permission to republish restricted personal information, agency logos, copyrighted third-party material, or records excluded for privacy reasons. Content must remain within the applicable dataset terms, laws, and agency policies.
Source and freshness
The FMCSA Open Data Program says the Company Census File is a snapshot, is updated daily from a database that is about 24 hours old, is not real-time, and excludes some business types. Hotshot College therefore displays attribution and freshness information and links users to the relevant FMCSA system for current verification.
