A successful claim proves that the signed-in account completed an approved control check at a recorded time. The check may be a single-use link sent to an exact official email, a code delivered by voice to an exact official phone number, or a protected staff review of business and identity evidence.
What it proves
It proves control of the approved contact route or successful completion of the protected review. The audit record can include the method, timestamps, account, session, provider event, and decision.
What it does not prove
It does not by itself prove legal ownership, beneficial ownership, operating authority, insurance, safety, identity for every representative, or endorsement by Hotshot College, FMCSA, or DOT.
Claim wording rule
Use “claimed through official contact verification” or the exact approved method. Do not use “FMCSA verified owner,” “government verified,” or language that expands the evidence beyond what was checked.
